First impressions are everything, especially in dance competitions. Before the music starts, before you show off your best moves, the judges are already evaluating you. How you step onto the stage can make or break their first impression of you—and your score!
Why Your Entrance Matters:
Judges notice confidence, posture, and technique before your routine begins.
A strong entrance sets the tone for a powerful performance.
A weak entrance can lower expectations and hurt your score before you even start dancing.
How to Nail Your On-Stage Walk:
Posture is Key – Shoulders back, chin lifted, and arms relaxed. Walk with purpose!
Footwork Matters – Avoid sloppy or turned-in feet. Step with clean technique.
Confidence Over Everything – Even if you’re nervous, act confident. Judges can tell!
Facial Expressions – Your face should match the energy of your routine. Show excitement or intensity—whatever fits your piece!
